The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully took the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2021 for the March session. The phase 2 of exams, as they are called, took place from March 16 and got over on March 18. Now, the candidates who wrote these exams are waiting for the NTA to release the JEE Main 2021 answer key. However, as has been reported by Rajasthan Patrika and other portals, the announcement for the date of the answer key to the exams is yet to be out.
Answer Key Likely to be out by Next Week
However, when the February session took place for the JEE exams, the answer key was released within three days. Hence, this time around, students are expecting the answer key to be out by March 21-22.
Apart from the answer key, the response sheet for JEE Main 2021 with the question papers along with solutions will also be released by the NTA. The process for answer key follows the process of NTA first releasing a provisional answer key for the JEE Main exam, and following that, candidates will be allowed to challenge the same. Further, as and when the challenges are received, the NTA will then announce the answer key as a compilation of final answers. Following that answer key declaration, on the basis of the final answers, the results will be declared.
The Process To Download the JEE Main 2021 Answer Key
Here’s how you can download the JEE Main 2021 answer key released by NTA once it is out. The provisional answer key for the Mains along with question paper as well as the response sheets will be released all at the same time. Candidates will have to visit the official website of the exams, which is jeemain.nta.nic.in and then download them. First, they have to find the link for the events and following that, they will need to enter the application number along with their date of birth to login. This download is going to be a compilation of all three things – the JEE Main 2021 question paper, along with the responses as well as the answer key.
Following the provisional answer key, candidates will have around 2 to 3 days in order to access the window. And if any candidate wishes to challenge the answer key, they will have to fill out a form and also pay the fee as mentioned. The fee for each objection for the JEE Main exams is Rs 200. Meanwhile, the marks for the answers based on the answer key can be calculated by comparing the response and the answers mentioned in the key. While the candidate will receive 4 marks for every right answer, there will be negative marking for a wrong one. However, in case there are questions that have not been answered or marked, no marks will be deducted.
